Dr. RICHARD QUINN MB.,BS, FRACP, DDU
Richard is a graduate of the University of New South Wales. He did his advanced medical training in nuclear medicine at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital followed by a Fellowship at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York.
On returning to Australia he was a Staff Specialist in Nuclear Medicine and Ultrasound at Lidcombe Hospital before coming to The St George Hospital in 1991. He has been on staff at St George since then as well as opening the Nuclear Medicine Department at St George Private in 1996.
He gained specialist recognition in Coronary Artery CT scanning in 2012 and will complete his PET training in 2014.
His clinical interests are predominantly bone scans, cardiac imaging and disease of the thyroid and he is the author of over 20 clinical papers.
Finally Richard is a keen runner – mostly marathons or ultramarathons – and sometimes can be seen running to work in the pre-dawn light (very slowly).
